Wonderful Ohio , freedom for none
Home of the spite groups, the hate groups and pawns.
Despite the fields of corn to be seen
The people underneath here are utterly mean.
They hide in their small towns ready to pounce
Just try to be friends and theyll give you the bounce.
Wonderful Ohio home of the feared
A terrorist pocket once hidden revealed.
The goal of these folks appears mighty clear
To overtake, plunder, steal, rob and stay near.
The chalice of the heartlands now runs over with blood
All thanks to those folks who arrived in a flood.
But we are the real people, these terrorists say,
At least this excuse keeps some folks at bay.
Imagine a nightmare, the worst you have had
With angry mean folks in spite clad.
These citizens claim that they too have rights
This is what started these horrible fights.
Writer's note: I wrote this poem while thinking about Ku Klux Klan activities, but after further thought, realized that "Wonderful Ohio" could apply to any hate or spite group, no matter their color, race, or national origin. I think similar things are happening in other states, but since I live in Ohio, I only know firsthand about Ohio.
